Kite: Anatomia de un cierre

Me parece super interesante este post de Adam Smith, fundador de Kite, explicando las razones de su cierre desde un punto de vista de mercado, producto, gente.

…”We failed to deliver our vision of AI-assisted programming because we were 10+ years too early to market, i.e. the tech is not ready yet” … “We failed to build a business because our product did not monetize, and it took too long to figure that out” … “Then we explored pivoting the business…But after seven years of intense work and early-stage-startup stress, our team was too tired to pursue that pivot”

Esto es el resumen mas duro, pero lo bueno del post y ojalá mas startups que fracasan analizaran las causas de su caída, porque esto les daría un buen frameworks para entender el alcance real de un proyecto y entender que mercados parecen atacables pero lo son solo si tenes la espalda de un gigante:

Our diagnosis is that individual developers do not pay for tools. Their manager might, but engineering managers only want to pay for discrete new capabilities, i.e. making their developers 18% faster when writing code did not resonate strongly enough.

Cuando encima estas en un mercado (AI Tools) donde tu equipo de trabajo cuesta mas que en cualquier otro nicho… vale la pena leer en serio ese post de Adam y aplauso por compartirlo
